In the Chapel Hill Regional, LSU edged out Wofford 4-3, while North Carolina secured an 11-8 victory over Long Island. Wofford eliminated Long Island with a 5-2 win, but was later defeated by North Carolina 6-2. LSU overcame Wofford 13-6 and then North Carolina 8-4. However, North Carolina ultimately advanced with a 4-3 win over LSU.
