A Star-Studded Class
This year's Hall of Fame class boasts an impressive lineup, including Major League Baseball legends Adrian Beltré, Todd Helton, Joe Mauer, and renowned manager Jim Leyland. Their storied careers and contributions to the sport have earned them a well-deserved spot among baseball's immortals.
Adrian Beltré: A Career of Excellence

Beltré's remarkable career statistics include 3,166 hits, 636 doubles, 477 home runs, 1,707 RBIs, and 1,524 runs. Additionally, Beltré earned four Silver Sluggers and five Gold Gloves, including two prestigious Platinum Gloves, recognizing his defensive prowess.
With a career batting average of .286 and a slugging percentage of .480, Beltré is celebrated as one of the finest third basemen in MLB history. He ranks third in career Wins Above Replacement (WAR) among third basemen, trailing only Mike Schmidt and Eddie Mathews. In his first year of eligibility, Beltré secured an impressive 95.1% of the vote. He will be the third player to don a Rangers logo on his Hall of Fame plaque, joining the legendary Nolan Ryan and Iván Rodríguez.
Todd Helton: Consistency and Power
Todd Helton, the eighth overall pick in the 1995 draft from the University of Tennessee, spent his entire 17-season career with the Colorado Rockies. Helton’s stellar career hitting line of .316/.414/.539 highlights his exceptional ability to combine average and power.
Throughout his career, Helton garnered five All-Star selections, four Silver Sluggers, and three Gold Gloves, underscoring his well-rounded skill set. Helton’s induction into the Hall of Fame comes after accumulating 79.7% of the vote on his sixth ballot. He joins Larry Walker as the second player to represent the Rockies in Cooperstown.
Joe Mauer: The Catcher's Standard
Joe Mauer, selected as the number one overall draft pick by the Minnesota Twins in 2001, made his MLB debut on April 5, 2004, at the young age of 20. Mauer holds the unique distinction of being the only catcher in MLB history to win three batting titles. In 2009, he further solidified his legacy by capturing the MVP award.
Mauer’s career numbers are equally impressive, with 2,123 hits, 428 doubles, 143 home runs, 923 RBIs, and 1,018 runs. His career batting average of .306 and on-base percentage of .388 reflect his consistent performance at the plate. Ranked ninth in career WAR among catchers, Mauer received 76.1% of the vote for his induction on his first ballot. He will be the seventh player to sport a Twins cap on his Hall of Fame plaque.
Jim Leyland: Master Strategist
Jim Leyland’s managerial career, which began in 1986 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, spans 22 seasons and includes stints with the Pirates, Florida Marlins, Colorado Rockies, and Detroit Tigers. Leyland’s accomplishments are distinguished by three pennants and a World Series title with the Marlins in 1997.
Over the course of his managerial career, Leyland achieved six division titles and amassed 1,769 career wins, coupled with a postseason record of 44-40.
